David Warner- haunted by his batting woes, is uncertain of his place in the Australian Test squad for the long season of the ICC Test Championship.
The left-handed batsman had a horrible outing in the Ashes 2019 where Stuart Broad became his nightmare. Warner’s poor form gave Australian top-order problems, which they have to counter before they continue their Test Championship campaign against Pakistan at the end of November.
"I think he’s got enough credits in the bank. We know how good a player he is. opening the batting in England can be really difficult, particularly if you’re a left-hander and Stuart Broad’s bowling at you. That was a difficult period for David (but) the way he was around our group as a senior player was outstanding. It’s easy to do that when you’re going well but to have him still upbeat and still pushing others to get better when he was going through a rough patch himself was great to see," Paine added.
On the other hand, Australia’s captain Tim Paine backs David Warner to make it to the squad for the 2-Test match series against the Green team. "I think he is," Paine told local news outlet when asked whether Warner is sure to hold his spot for the first Test of the home season against Pakistan.
