Some of the world’s biggest stars in cricket have been confirmed as part of the draft for The Hundred competition next year in England. The brand new domestic tournament is cricket’s latest innovation and will feature teams playing 100 balls in an innings in overs of 5 or 10 deliveries.
Some of the players who have expressed their interest to be part of the glitzy competition include Chris Gayle, Eoin Morgan, Steve Smith, Quinton de Kock and Mitchell Starc.
The No. 1 ranked T20I batsman Babar Azam is also part of The Hundred draft while the legendary Shahid Afridi is present in the star-studded list.
Kagiso Rabada, Lasith Malinga, David Warner, Moeen Ali, Kieron Pollard and Jason Roy are other major T20 cricketers who will participate in the draft. It will be interesting how teams choose among the talented pool of players available for selection.
