Kapil Dev resigns as BCCI’s cricket advisory committee chief

India’s former captain World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has resigned from his post of Cricket advisory committee chief. It was said in the reports that some conflicts of interest brought the former Indian captain to quit his role.

However, Dev did not disclose the reason behind stepping down but instead he wrote an email to the Supreme Court-appointed-committee of administrators.

Kapil started this job in July 2018 and he was heading a team who were supposed to choose the head coaches of India’s women and men’s team. Ravi Shastri was also reappointed as the head coach of the national men’s team after Kapil and his team conducted his interview.
