Honor for Imam and Shaheen Afridi

The Lord’s Cricket Ground-based cricket club MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) honors Shaheen Shah Afridi and Imam-ul-Haq by placing their kits in its historic cricket museum. These Pakistani players donated their kits to MCC for them to add to the honorary museum.

Imam-ul-Haq scored a century in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against Bangladesh at Lord’s, and Shaheen picked up 6 wickets on this very ground in the same encounter. They also registered their names on the Lord’s Honor Board.

It is not just a proud moment for the young players but also for the whole nation that they are acknowledging their talent in the International World at a very young age.

MCC Museum is part of Sporting Heritage, a nationwide network that cares for sporting collections, and, as a sports museum, collects history shortly after it is made through items associated with particular moments or people. MCC Museum is dedicated to holding historically significant items in trust for society to promote cricket, but primarily for the education and enjoyment of all.
