Pakistan cricket team’s star-studded fast bowler, Mohammad Amir, is currently struggling to generate pace in the limited-overs cricket. Amir bowled at an average speed of 130 kph during the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka. Although he picked up 3 wickets in the game, still he was not really peaking.
At the start of his career, Amir’s average pace was around 145 kph, but for the last couple of years, his pace is becoming a bit of concern. Amir recently announced retirement from Test cricket in order to put all his efforts in the ODIs and T20I format.
Many critics defied Amir’s decision of retirement, and now it is time for the left-arm fast bowler to prove that his decision inclines with the betterment of the team. He still needs to work a lot to find his real mojo back so he can intimidate the batsmen with his pace and swing, which is currently not there.
