Pakistan Cricket Team is a young team and the players have great chemistry and bonding with each other. Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz shared a funny story of Sarfraz Ahmed about an incident during the ICC World Cup game against New Zealand in an interview with Wasim Akram.
He said that Sarfraz has a very superstitious type of belief that when the team is in a good position, he does not move from the seat where he is sitting neither he allows others to do so.
“During the match against New Zealand (World Cup 2019), while Babar Azam and Haris Sohail were batting, I (Wahab), Mohammad Amir, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq were sitting in the changing room of the Edgbaston cricket ground and Sarfraz Ahmed was sitting outside in the pavilion. When Babar was on 99, we all moved out in order to celebrate, but when he could not make it to hundred in the next couple of overs, Sarfraz started to shout on us “why you have come out, move inside, go inside”, Wahab told Wasim.
Sarfraz Ahmed, the Pakistani captain, has a serious nature on the field, but he enjoys a jolly environment off the field. These are good signs for the Pakistan cricket team that the players have friendly relations with each other and they love to enjoy their game.
