After a lot of nervousness and the turn of events, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was finally able to convince Cricket Sri Lanka for a full-fledged white-ball tour. While few experienced Sri Lankan cricketers opted out of Pakistan tour, their cricket board delivered on their promise and sent a team which, however, wasn’t that strong.
Nevertheless, it still goes down as a piece of success for Pakistan as ODI cricket was played in Karachi after a gap of 10 years. Moreover, former West Indian great Michael Holding visited the country and revealed satisfaction with the security conditions of Pakistan.
The cricketer turned commentator said that his tour to Pakistan was successful and he loved enjoying the hospitality. Holding believes that the cricketing world needs to back Pakistan by touring the country.
He went on to cite the example of Australia playing Ashes in England despite London blasts. Nevertheless, the 65-year old admitted that PCB and the Government of Pakistan will have to work hard and take radical steps to change the perspective about the country’s security conditions.
