Ahead of the commencement of the forthcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), Sydney Thunder has bolstered its unit by acquiring the services of the English cricketer Alex Hales. It is important to note that the explosive cricketer has recently been found in smashing form as he scored 418 runs in England’s Vitality T20 Blast at an average of 38.
Playing 224 games, the 30-year old possesses a plethora of T20 experience and he expects to use it in the highly celebrated Australian T20 frenzy. Moreover, Hales, who previously enjoyed the top spot of ICC’s T20 batting rankings, represented England in 11 Tests, 70 ODIs and 60 T20Is to record a number of impressive performances.
The 30-year old was elated to ink a one-year deal with Sydney and return to a hugely respected tournament. Moreover, he didn’t shy away from admitting that he is setting himself a target of ending up among the highest-run getters of the 20-over competition. It remains to be seen how the Middlesex born fares in the domestic championship.
