After holding bits and pieces of the International cricket, Pakistan was finally able to attract a top cricketing nation like Sri Lanka for a long tour. Despite losing the services of their experienced players, Cricket Sri Lanka fulfilled their promise by sending a team for three ODIs and as many T20Is.
The 50-over series is done and dusted with Pakistan claiming victory and now the iconic Lahore is set to roar louder than before in the shortest format of the game. All this has helped Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani to believe that he’ll be able to convince the Islanders to play the two-game Test series in Pakistan.
Sharing his views about the ongoing tour, Ehsan Mani extended his gratitude to Sri Lanka. He added that Pakistan needed this tour to happen as it can change the perspective of veteran Islanders along with other International cricketers about the country’s security conditions.
The 74-year old invited all the foreign teams to travel to Pakistan while promising a top-level security. It remains to be seen how the cricketing world responds to this invitation.
