While the recently concluded ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka showed hosts to be a far superior side, same cannot be said about their fielding standard. The boys in green produced many lapses while fielding which ended up frustrating the skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed who believes that this is one loophole Pakistan really needs to address.
Reviewing the 50-over series victory, the wicket-keeper batsman shared jubilation as he was pumped up to win in front of the home crowd. Nevertheless, he didn’t shy away from admitting that the fielding department requires some fixes which he wants to do before the commencement of the three-game T20I series.
The Karachi born is of the view that the overall strength of the team allowed the green team to overcome their mistakes, but it won’t happen every day. Hence, he urged his unit to particularly focus on fielding. The three-game T20I series is set to commence from October 5 with next two games scheduled on October 7 and 9 respectively. All the contests will be hosted by Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore.
