Following the footsteps of Rohit Sharma, opening batsman Mayank Agarwal went on to register his first century in the Test cricket and then converted it into a double hundred. Playing a spectacular knock characterized by a plethora of quality, the 28-year old helped his country gain a massive advantage in the three-game Test series.
Mayank looked cautious in the start, but restored his confidence with few crispy drives to acquire his batting flow. The stupendous innings which consisted of 215 runs saw him smashing 23 fours and 6 sixes. Registering a memorable knock in his debut Test match in India, the Bangalore born was elated. Moreover, he vowed to keep working hard and contribute valiantly towards his team’s cause in future.
