Nathan Lyon eyes a spot in Australia’s World Cup T20 squad

Nathan Lyon is currently one of the finest spinners of the cricketing world. Time and again, the veteran cricketer has proved his mettle to help Australia win many contests. However, the tag of being only the red-ball spinner isn’t going down well with him as Lyon expressed his wish to become a permanent feature of the white-ball cricket.

With T20 World Cup not being far away, the 31-year old revealed that it is his dream to represent Australia in the mega-event of the shortest format of the game. Lyon who sees himself as an attacking spinner further added that he enjoys the pressure of a T20 game. It remains to be seen if all this catches the attention of the Australian selectors.

Sharing his feelings on the forthcoming T20 frenzy in Australia, the New South Wales born said, “I want to play every format for Australia and every chance I get, I want to put my hand up for the selection. I’m still learning the game in all areas and if given the opportunity to play in the T20 World Cup it would be a dream.”
