England’s wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow recently found himself dropped from the Test team for the forthcoming tour of New Zealand. While this came as shocking news for him, Bairstow has no plans to waste the time he got. Instead, the prolific white-ball batsman is focused on fixing his batting issues.
It is important to note that Bairstow was assured by England management that he can get back to red-ball cricket and his career is not over.
This actually went on to boost his morale as the 30-year old vowed to return to the Test team stronger than ever. After being picked in the T20I squad, Bairstow is sanguine about doing well there and use good form to make a strong case for Tests against South Africa in December.
Reviewing the matter, the Yorkshire born said that all he needs to get back in the Test unit is a strong hunger and desire.
Bairstow highlighted his age and added that he has a lot of cricket left in him which he would use to serve England. It remains to be seen how he fares in his forthcoming assignments.
