Rohit Sharma- the Hitman, had a formidable start to the Test series against South Africa as the bloke smashed two back-to-back centuries in the two innings of the 1st Test match at Visakhapatnam. The right-handed batsman was unstoppable throughout the match and scored 176 and 127 respectively. He hit the most number of sixes (13) in a single Test match breaking the record of Wasim Akram (12 maximums).
During the match, where the opening batsman was going great, he also made a very unique record. Rohit became the only Indian player to get out stumped in the both innings of the match. On both occasions he was out stumped on the bowling of Keshav Maharaj.
This record created by Rohit Sharma was surely against the run of play provided the fact that how much he dominated in 1st Test encounter. Sharma was previously struggling to cement his place in India’s Test squad but now he has perpetuated his white-ball form into the longest format of the game, simultaneously making his case strong at the top of the order for team India.
