England’s former batsman, Michael Vaughan heaped praise on the Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. He applauded the way Jadeja played during the 1st Test match against South Africa at the Visakhapatnam. Vaughan said that, “after seeing Jadeja’s performance, I wonder why he ever gets dropped from the Indian side”.
The left-arm spinner has been an inconsistent part and parcel of the Indian team over the years. After 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, the all-rounder was dropped from the side for a notable amount of time before he made a comeback against Afghanistan in June 2018. Since then, he played 8 Test matches for Team India.
He dominated in the 1st Test match against South Africa at Visakhapatnam with 70 runs and 6 key scalps. The 30-year old has represented India in 44 Test matches in which he has scored 1630 runs at an average of 33.26 and picked up 204 wickets.
