Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal have become talk of the town after they failed once again at the International arena. The veteran cricketers, sports analysts, and the public is furious over their miserable performances. They are criticizing the new management for giving them another chance. Umar Akmal bagged two golden ducks in the first two games of the T20I series against Sri Lanka on the other hand Shehzad only managed to score 17 runs in the two games.
This has raised serious questions on their place in the team but the point is whether Misbah-ul-Haq, still willing to stick with these two players or not. Misbah defended their selection by saying that they did well in the domestic season and that is the reason why they were given chance. “Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad won’t be dropped without been given adequate chances”, Misbah further added.
Pakistan might stick with Shehzad and Akmal for the final T20I game at Lahore and if they again fail to deliver, then Pakistani management might have to take some tough decisions going into the next series against Australia in November.
