It is hard to overemphasize the importance of Pakistan’s top-order batsman Babar Azam. After making his debut in the International cricket, the prolific cricketer swelled his fame by producing magical batting displays. However, he failed to fire in the ongoing T20Is against Sri Lanka.
Nevertheless, his consistent run and past record has allowed him to fetch heavy admiration from Misbah-ul-Haq who currently serves both as a head coach and chief selector of the green team. The former skipper firmly believes that Babar sits as country’s best batsman in T20 cricket and for this reason, he backed the 24-year old cricketer to continue open the batting in the shortest format of the game.
Misbah said that it is imperative to give the dexterous batsman a lot of time so that he can control the game and pressurize the opposition. Moreover, he is impressed with the work ethics of Babar as he wants to see him shattering many records. Babar himself sits confident and excited as he is eager to enter elite category of the modern day batters.
