India outclassed South Africa in the 1st Test match at Visakhapatnam by a massive margin. Both teams will now head to Pune for the 2nd Test match of the series. South Africa, in search of redemption, will put all its efforts to make a strong comeback. The veteran Indian commentator, Harsha Bhogle said that he would be surprised if India does not make it 2-0 at Pune.
The torrential rains at Pune might have left the wicket under-prepared, so there are chances that India and South Africa play on a square-turner in the 2nd Test which will definitely benefit the home team, possessing a quality spin attack. Taking back the clock, the Pune wicket also came under severe criticism during a Test match between India and Australia in 2017 when 24 wickets fell in just 2 days.
Harsha, talking about South Africa’s problem against the spin said that Faf du Plessis should bat at number 4 as he is the best batsman in their batting line-up. “India won’t make any change unless there is significant change in the playing conditions. South African team has a lot of issues in their team which they have to sought out before the next game”, Harsha added.
