Legendary batsman and former coach of Pakistan, Javed Miandad has urged his country’s cricket board to appoint a specialized batting coach to resolve the team’s woes as depicted during the T20I series whitewash received at the hands of Sri Lanka.
Pakistan failed to chase down targets in the three T20 matches against an inexperienced Sri Lankan bowling attack. Currently, Misbah oversees the duties of assisting Pakistan’s batsmen alongside his dual role of the head coach and chief selector of the team.
"I think the Board has overburdened Misbah by assigning him the dual responsibilities of Head Coach of all formats and Chief Selector. The board needs to be a bit realistic and think out of the box by appointing a specialized batting coach," Miandad advised the PCB.
