Pakistan’s abysmal performance in the T20I series against Sri Lanka has been met by a wave of heated criticism from fans and some sections of the cricket fraternity. The bitter mood currently gripping the Pakistan cricket supporters can be judged by the fact that a civil suit has been moved to a Gujranwala Civil Court against Misbah-ul-Haq.
The charge laid out against Misbah, the current head coach and chief selector of Pakistan, in the petition is that he is drawing PKR 3.2 million salary from the national exchequer. The civil suit has been filed by a local lawyer Manzoor Qadir who submitted the application in the court.
He suggested that Misbah or any other PCB official’s monthly salary should not exceed PKR 500,000. Meanwhile, the court has accepted the petition and has given the country’s cricket board a deadline of four days to submit their response.
