Faf du Plessis hints changes for 3rd Test against India

Coming to India with a lot of expectations, South Africa started the tour with a strong batting performance in the first innings of the Visakhapatnam Test. However, they were never able to do anything meaningful after that. From conceding a lot of runs to getting rolled out for paltry totals, South Africa experienced turbulence on the Indian soil.

After losing the series already, the third game presents itself as a dead rubber. However, there is a lot more perspective added to it since these contests are all a part of the highly celebrated ICC World Test Championship.

The skipper of South Africa Faf du Plessis wasn’t satisfied with his team’s show as he thinks that they could have performed a lot better.

For this reason, the middle-order batsman has hinted towards making few changes in the last game of the red-ball series.

The 35-year old said that the upcoming game presents the rainbow nation an opportunity to bring fresh heads into the line-up and see how they try to counter the pressure. This means that Zubayr Hamza, Lungi Ngidi, George Linde and Heinrich Klaasen are in line to play at Ranchi.
