Legendary batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara and other former greats of the game will be in action in the cricket field next year in yet another T20 tournament on the horizon. The Road Safety World Series is scheduled to commence on February 2 next year and will be held across India for two weeks.
The glitzy tournament will also feature Indian batting great Virender Sehwag, Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan and Jonty Rhodes. Fans will get a chance to make a trip down memory lane and witness their favorite stars return to the cricket field one more time.
Retired cricketers from a total of five countries are expected to take part in the T20 competition. Tendulkar, who retired in 2013, is still the world’s leading run-getter in both Test and ODI cricket while Lara holds the record of the highest individual score.
