The third edition of the T10 League features a couple of new franchises, one of which is the Lahore Qalandars, closely tied to its namesake Pakistan Super League (PSL) team. Qalandars have now selected a star-studded rostrum of players from the choices available in the draft held before the competition.
The Lahore-based side has gone for explosive Kiwi batsman Luke Ronchi, England speedster Chris Jordan and rising batting sensation Tom Banton in their squad. Ronchi and Jordan have previously played in the PSL, although they represented Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi respectively while Banton shot to prominence with his Vitality Blast heroics.
Qalandars also have opted for a trio of quality all-rounders with Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Hafeez and Imad Wasim being brought into the side. Earlier, it was decided that legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi will serve as the Qalandars’ icon player.
