Smith, Warner, and Gayle amongst the most expensive players in the Hundred

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that international stars namely Steve Smith, David Warner and Chris Gayle are among the most expensive players listed in Sunday's (October 20) draft for the new domestic tournament – The Hundred.

These International Stars will command 125,000 GBP as the reserve price. Mitchell Starc is the other Australian cricketer to feature in the list of most expensive players of the Hundred. 

Veteran Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga and South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada are the other players in the top bracket for the inaugural edition of The Hundred, slated to run from July 17 to August 16 next year.

Featuring 8 teams comprising over 7 cities, the format will add diversity in the mode of cricket being played. The fans are eagerly waiting for the tournament to begin so they can watch their stars play.
