Australia’s cricketer Nathan Lyon comes across as the premier Test spinner of the country. However, he doesn’t enjoy the same status when it comes to playing the white-ball cricket, which is evident from the fact that he hasn’t been picked for the forthcoming T20I games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Nevertheless, the proficient spinner has no plans to give up as he is still eyeing a berth in the Australian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Chairman of selectors Trevor Hons didn’t offer any explanation to omit the offie, but added that he is looking to test his resources ahead of the all-important mega-event.
The 31-year old, who has plenty of cricket left in him, reflected on all this by saying that he wants to put his hand up for all forms of the game. Lyon added that he has the utmost respect for the decision of the selection committee, but that won’t stop him from trying to register stellar performances in the domestic circuit and make a case for the T20 World Cup.
