Ahsan Ali dents KPK with a glittering half-century

Losing to Balochistan in their last game of the competition, Sindh recovered really well to register a strong performance against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). The 7th game of the ongoing National T20 Cup 2019 saw KPK winning the toss and inviting Sindh to portray their batting skills.

Sindh’s opening batsman Ahsan Ali took full advantage of his batting promotion to showcase his effective and aggressive range of strokes. Joining hands with Khurram Manzoor, Ahsan provided Sindh with a solid platform as the opening duo scored 83 runs. 

While Khurram got dismissed by Umar Khan, Ahsan continued to pummel KPK bowlers to muster the 5th half-century of his T20 career before getting dismissed by Imran Khan jr.

In the innings of 64 runs which was filled with quality, the 25-year old consumed 37 balls to score 8 fours and 3 sixes, managing a stupendous strike-rate of 172.97. 

The glorious batting performance of Ahsan allowed Sindh to beat KPK by 8 runs and register 2 crucial points in the tournament. For his spectacular effort, the Karachi born was declared the player of the match award.
