Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made another slight adjustment to the managing team as the former Test cricketer, Nadeem Khan has been named as the selection committee coordinator of Pakistan cricket team. The official news was disclosed during the press release on Thursday.
This move aims to curtail the burden on the newly appointed Chief Selector, Misbah-ul-Haq, who is also performing the duty of the Head Coach. It will allow the former Pakistani captain to focus more firmly on the National team rather than keeping a check on the domestic circuit.
Nadeem Khan has been named as the selection committee coordinator of the Pakistan cricket team.
The key role of Nadeem Khan will be to act as a mediator between Misbah-ul-Haq and the six selectors (head coaches of six domestic teams).
Khan, who represented Pakistan in two Tests, will be giving his feedback by travelling across the country, watching domestic matches and then preparing detailed reports on potential candidates for international cricket. The reports will be presented to the selection committee which will be used in picking players for the national side.
