After recovering from his illness, Pakistan’s flamboyant opening batsman Imran Nazir made a return to competitive cricket. However, he didn’t enjoy many opportunities. Nevertheless, it was the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars who showed continuous support for Imran Nazir.
After featuring in Lahore’s team which participated in the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi T20 League, this time the 37-year old has been given a chance to represent Qalandars in the highly celebrated T10 League. Lahore, announcing their participation, with a team called Qalandars, is ready to swell the charm of the 10-over tournament.
For this reason, they have hired the services of Imran Nazir who can prove to be a real asset with his aggressive style of batting.
Imran took to Twitter to extend his gratitude to Qalandars as he said that the management of Lahore stood with him in difficult times and kept encouraging him to not lose hope. Staying away from the game for such a long time, it remains to be seen how he fares in the forthcoming championship commencing from November 14 in Abu Dhabi.
