Legendary West Indies batsman Brian Lara believes India’s fast bowling attack is reminiscent of the dominant Caribbean lineup that operated in the yesteryears of their hegemony in world cricket. India’s pace bowling spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, demolished West Indies away from home, which immensely impressed Lara.
"I thought their fast bowlers were sometimes unplayable [during the recent Test series in the West Indies]. So starting with that, you've got to give India credit with where their cricket is. They're at a very high point,” Lara stated.
He further said India’s bowlers were on another level as compared to the rest of the world. Lara deemed their skillset as extremely special.
"Unbelievable. I saw them in the West Indies and I must say, what I was accustomed to in the past, in the '90s and early part of the 21st century, this is a little bit exceptional, this is pretty special,” he remarked.
