Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis has invited 15 bowlers from around the country for a special weekend camp. In a bid to discover and groom wicket-taking bowlers for the Australia tour next month, Waqar will be supervising this camp primarily focused at honing pace bowling abilities.
“The national selection committee has invited 15 high-performing bowlers from the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and the ongoing National T20 Cup as well as fast bowlers Mohammad Abbas and Shaheen Shah Afridi for the weekend camp,” the PCB statement read.

This camp will allow the Pakistan selectors to decide upon bowlers before announcing the T20I and Test squads on Monday. The presence of Shaheen in the mix is good news considering the young left-arm pacer was suffering from dengue fever which ruled him out of the Sri Lanka series.
