Protest held in Karachi over Sarfraz Ahmed’s sacking

The crowd has started to express their anger in the shape of public protests after the sacking of Sarfraz Ahmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The cricket fans gathered outside the residence of Sarfraz Ahmed in Karachi and conducted a nonchalant protest.

The slogans were raised against Misbah-ul-Haq and Pakistan Cricket Board. The crowd demanded respect for the former Pakistani captain, Sarfraz Ahmed. “It was totally unfair to overthrow Sarfraz from the captaincy position”, the protestors argued.

Fans demanded Sarfaraz to be reinstated as Pakistan’s captain, at least in the white-ball cricket as he was not bad in the shorter format as captain. They also demanded PCB to treat all the players equally on the basis of their performance.

Remember that Sarfraz Ahmed was dethroned by PCB from the captaincy of Pakistan’s Test and T20I team in the last week. Azhar Ali and Babar Azam were announced as the new captains of the Pakistan Cricket team in the Test format and T20I format respectively.
