Pakistan’s right-arm paceman Hasan Ali will miss upcoming Australia tour owing to a lingering back problem which has kept him out of competitive cricket since the World Cup in England and Wales earlier this summer.
“Hasan has been undergoing rehab at the national cricket academy in Lahore but apparently his back problem is taking time to heal,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official recently stated.
The 25-year-old has been a vital cog of Pakistan’s limited-overs setup although his form has lately dipped. He has taken a total of 148 wickets across the three formats. He was bestowed with the player of the tournament award in the 2017 Champions Trophy but hasn’t replicated similar levels of success since then.
