Amla urges fans to back struggling South Africa

South Africa is currently going through a tough time as first they failed to impress in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, and now they are finding themselves on the receiving end in India. Looking an inferior side in all the games, South Africa was whitewashed in the three-match Test series, thus recording a horrible start to the ICC World Test Championship.

This obviously attracted a lot of backlash as fans are frustrated on the humiliation they aren’t accustomed to. However, former South African captain Hashim Amla urged them to show some patience. The 36-year old is of the opinion that the current players need to be given some time so they could get the needed experience and take the next gear.

“If given some time and the backing they deserve, I have no doubt that the current players will find their feet and restore the pride of the South African team. I know that these guys are really good, but they need to have the confidence and it can be achieved only by playing more,” said by Hashim Amla while sharing his views on the recent drubbing of the national team against the men in blue.
