After being appointed as the leader of the T20I team of Pakistan, Babar Azam’s first challenge will be to face Australia down under. Apart from the on-field challenges, the prolific batsman won’t have an easy life while facing Australian media as the cricketing world is aware of their hostile questions.
Moreover, Babar Azam’s inability to speak English properly could also exacerbate things. To counter this muddle, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint a professional translator for their gun batsman. The governing body of cricket in Pakistan would also have few sessions with Babar to make him ready to face media in Australia.
PCB feels no shame in making this appointment as the officials reiterated that many major athletes belonging to different sports don’t speak English. It remains to be seen how the Lahore born fares in his immediate assignment against a sturdy unit of Kangaroos. With a plethora of talent and ability, Babar has a great chance to make amends for his previous failures in Australia by recording stellar shows.
