Amad Butt shines with the bat again

Amad Butt’s explosive cameo in the all-important semi-final clash against Southern Punjab set up a thrilling three-wicket win for Balochistan. Given the task of chasing down the steep target of 174, Amad shone with the bat towards the end of the innings to romp his team over the line and book a berth in the National T20 Cup final.

Amad’s thunderous stay at the crease saw him bludgeon two sixes and three boundaries as he scored an unbeaten 29 from 14 deliveries. The 24-year-old smoked a magnificent six off the final ball of the match with his side needing two runs for the win.

The right-handed batsman has been in sizzling form all throughout the tournament, time and again reestablishing his power-hitting credentials. He holds the second-highest strike rate out of all batsmen in the competition with 191.42 in five innings. This is not the first time that Amad’s heroics with the bat have led his team to a win since he frequently fashions lusty blows.
