Legendary batsman Kumar Sangakkara feels the newly appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will do a fantastic job in the influential position. Ganguly formally took over the reins of the richest cricket board in the world and declared his vision of a corruption-free BCCI.
Sangakkara recently took charge as the president of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the custodians of the laws of the game. He is the first non-British MCC president since the formation of the club. His esteemed opinion regarding Ganguly thus holds great value and signifies the cordial relations between the two individuals.
“Ganguly is in a much more influential position than I am. But I have really enjoyed my conversations with him. He has been part of the world cricket committee. He has a global view on world cricket, not just Indian cricket. That’s really important,” the former Sri Lankan skipper told a cricket publication.
