Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan has signed with Surrey for the next season of the T20 Blast. The 21-year-old is regarded as Pakistan’s white-ball specialist and has played 35 T20Is for his country picking up 46 wickets at an average of just over 20.
"I've been waiting for this opportunity to play county cricket for a long time and T20 cricket at The Kia Oval is a great place to start. I'm honored to be following in the footsteps of some great Pakistan cricketers and will do my best to make both my new team and the Surrey fans proud,” Shadab said.
The youngster made his international debut in 2017 and has become a valuable commodity in franchise-based tournaments around the world. He burst into the spotlight for his impressive performances in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has gone on to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Big Bash League (BBL) and the Global T20 Canada.
