The stage was set for the grand finale between the teams of Northern and Balochistan at the Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad on Thursday. Pakistan’s ace all-rounder Shadab Khan played a pivotal role in clinching the title for his side.
While defending 167, Shadab gave no freebies to the opposition batters and took wickets at crucial moments. The leg-spinner from Rawalpindi took 2 wickets for just 23 runs in his 4 overs. Khan took wickets of the stalwarts like Imran Farhat and the captain Haris Sohail.
Since Usman Qadir’s inclusion in the T20I squad of Pakistan, Shadab Khan has regained his lost mojo with the ball which means the competition for the spot of a leg-spinner in the T20I side is getting intense. Northern won the final by 52 runs beating Balochistan.
