Pakistan’s hard-hitting batsman Khushdil Shah is one of the uncapped members of the team’s squad scheduled to play three T20Is in Australia. The left-handed batsman has garnered a lot of praise in domestic cricket owing to his stupendous power-hitting skills, which was recently on display in the National T20 Cup.
Despite not having any experience of Australian conditions, Khushdil said he not intimidated by the challenge that awaits him.
The 24-year-old said he had been playing routinely on the bouncy tracks in Abbottabad and Islamabad, which may have helped him prepare for the fast-paced surfaces expected in Australia.
“Power-hitting is my strength and I would try to do much better to make my place in the team,” he added as he vowed to play his naturally aggressive game. Khushdil has the experience of 35 T20 matches where he has scored 698 runs at a strike rate of 120.
