The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium during the limited-overs series between Pakistan women’s cricket team and their Bangladeshi counterparts, starting with the ongoing T20I.
Bangladesh are expected to play three successive T20 internationals before the action shifts to the two ODIs. Fans will be allowed to enter through Gate 1 and Gate 2 after showing their CNIC cards, a PCB spokesman clarified on the eve of the series opener. “We want to encourage families and students to come and watch the thrilling game,” he added.
The PCB will also be live-streaming the games on their YouTube channel in order to spark interest among viewers. “The decision to live-stream the matches has been made to take cricket to a wider audience, which, in turn, will enhance the profile of women’s cricket and help in the promotion and growth of the game,” he said.
