The newly appointed T20I captain of Pakistan Babar Azam has flown to Australia along with his team to feature against the Kangaroos in a series of 3 T20I matches.
After Babar’s appointment, there were questions raised about the batting position of the new skipper. However, Azam has decided to make sure that he stays at his original spot as an opener.
In a press conference before the team’s departure, Babar answered the question and revealed that he will open the batting along with Fakhar Zaman.
The new T20I skipper also said that Imam-ul-Haq is being taken in the squad as a backup opener. Pakistan will take on Australia in the 1st T20I of the series on Sunday 3rd of November at the Sydney cricket ground.
