Australia’s paceman Mitchell Starc is reported to stay absent from Australia’s second T20I game against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. The reason of his absence is his brother’s wedding which would make him unavailable for the cricketing action.
However, this opens the windows for other quicks to grab the opportunity and register an impressive outing with teams reviewing their resources for the T20 World Cup. Queensland speedster Billy Stanlake is expected to replace Starc as Australia will be eyeing a professional performance to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-game T20I series.
Sean Abbott too has a good chance of donning the national colors against the Islanders. It remains to be seen who gets a chance to play the next game. Earlier, Australia thumped Sri Lanka in the opening game of the series, recording their biggest ever victory in the T20I cricket. While bowlers set the game up, Starc also enjoyed a successful outing as the 29-year old conceded only 18 runs while picking 2 wickets in his quota of 4 overs.
