The start of Australia’s home season has been ideal as Kangaroos decimated Sri Lanka by recording their biggest ever T20I victory. While both the batting and bowling department clicked, the major positive came in the form of opening batsman David Warner who smashed a century on his T20I return.
An iconic knock, filled with a lot of aggression, impressed many and his teammate Pat Cummins is no exception who thoroughly enjoyed Warner’s brilliance. The 26-year old feels that with this innings Warner has got the confidence he needed to put things back on track. Cummins also backed Warner to use his form in the upcoming red-ball games.
The tall fellow cleared that he’s not mixing formats, but added that the confidence you get from scoring big stays there with you. Earlier, Warner struggled massively in the Test arena where he recorded his worst display in the Ashes series. Moreover, the belligerent striker is himself confident of coming good in Australia’s forthcoming assignments concerning the longest format of the game.
