England’s opening batsman, Jonny Bairstow expressed his views on the build-up for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020. The right-handed batsman feels that the momentum of their World Cup victory will help their journey to the T20I World Cup in Australia next year.
"I think it does feel like the start of that journey towards the T20 World Cup," Bairstow said. “It takes 4 years to build-up for the World Cup and now with the winning momentum behind us, it will lead us well to the T20I World Cup”, he added.
Talking about the youngsters in the team, he said, “it is fascinating to be playing cricket for England at the moment. We have got a lot of talented players coming up and together we will deal with the ups and downs”.
England won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in an intense-battled final against New Zealand and now they want to uphold their form in the ICC tournaments. England won the ICC T20I World Cup in 2010 since then they have not made a notable mark in the T20I World Cups.
