On the morning of Tuesday, Bangladesh’s cricket fans were jolted with massive news as their captain Shakib Al Hasan was banned from all forms of cricket for 2 years, with one year of that suspended after the Bangladeshi captain admitted three charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.
The news came in as a huge surprise for many and Multan Sultans’ owner Ali Tareen is no exception. Shakib Al Hasan is also out of Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan and he will miss the Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition 5 as well.
Ali Tareen took to twitter to show his grief over the suspension of the no.1 all-rounder. Shakib’s suspension will hurt Bangladesh’s chances in their upcoming tour of India as the all-rounder has been a prolific performer for his team in almost every format.
Shakib also enjoyed a fruitful outing in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2019 where he was the highest run-getter for his team.
