Netherlands becomes yet another team to qualify for the ICC T20I World Cup 2020 in Australia next year. The European state joined Ireland, Namibia, and Papua New Guinea for the group stage encounters in October 2020. The 8 teams, including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will contest in the group stages in October 2020.
The top two teams from each group (two groups) will then qualify for the super-12 stage. Netherlands vanquished over U.A.E in a one-sided match to book their place in the T20I world cup. U.A.E was bamboozled by terrific seam bowling from the Dutch seam bowlers restricting them to 80-9 in 20 overs. In reply, the Netherlands chased the target easily with 8 wickets in hand.
Netherlands have played the T20I Cricket World Cup previously. This is another opportunity for the Dutch team to acknowledge themselves at the International stage with some emphatic performances.
