Match Tied (Royal Challengers Bangalore win one-over eliminator)
Afghanistan entered the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament carrying an efficient unit and a lot of hopes to cause few upsets. With all the honesty, they came extremely close to down cricketing giants like India and Pakistan. However, inexperience got the better of them as they threw away golden opportunities to record memorable victories.
However, the new skipper Rashid Khan reiterated that his unit has taken the World Cup heartbreak extremely positively. Afghanistan is currently in India to battle West Indies in a full-fledged tour which will commence with a three-game ODI series starting on November 6.
Reviewing the forthcoming challenge, the 21-year old highlighted that the Afghan players worked extremely hard to learn from their mistakes.
The spin wizard added that the World Cup debacle ended up changing the mindset of his team as it allowed them to learn about their inability to finish the games. Rashid admitted that they should have won 4 to 5 games. Nevertheless, he is confident to record a stellar show against West Indies.
