Former England’s seam bowler Darren Gough has been named as the new bowling consultant for England. His appointment will cover the tour of New Zealand. The former seam bowler will work with the World Champions and help them produce fruitful results against the runners-up of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The former Yorkshire and Essex quick represented England across all three formats with distinction over a 12-year career, which saw him take 229 wickets in 58 Tests at an average of 28.39.

“I very much look forward to working with all the bowlers and helping them improve. I will gain a lot from the experience and to work at this level will benefit me as a coach for the long-term. I can’t wait to get cracking.” Gough said about his appointment.
In one-day internationals, he is England's second-highest wicket-taker in history with 234 at an average of 26.42 from his 159 matches. He will join England’s Test squad from 15th November. The Three Lions will take on New Zealand for a 2-match Test series next month.
