Legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi has expressed his excitement to set ablaze the stage of the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League. Afridi, who held the record for the fastest century for 18 years, will be representing the new franchise Qalandars in the exhilarating 10-over format.
Afridi captained the Pakhtoons for two seasons in the T10 League and also possesses the record of the first hat-trick in the competition. He accomplished the special feat back in the first edition of the league when he dismissed Rilee Rossouw, Dwayne Bravo and Virender Sehwag on successive deliveries.
Taking to Twitter, the 39-year-old stated he looked forward to witnessing the glitzy opening ceremony headlined by Pakistani pop star Atif Aslam. Afridi, often dubbed as ‘Boom Boom’ by pundits for his explosive style of batting, promised more fireworks with the bat for fans in the forthcoming T10 League.
