Pakistan’s dashing opening batsman Sharjeel Khan is all set to get back to the limelight cricket with the news of him being included in the drafts for the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Playing his last game for Islamabad United in February 2017, Sharjeel missed two complete seasons of the tournament.
Recently, former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar shared his views on the swashbuckling cricketer as he called him the hottest property of the PSL-5. Scoring over 1800 runs in 71 T20s with an average of 26.57 and a strike-rate of 140.84, Sharjeel has strong numbers in the shortest format of the game. Therefore, the Rawalpindi born predicted a high demand for him in the draft which is likely to take place by the end of the ongoing month.
“Sharjeel is surely going to be a hot property in the forthcoming PSL draft. Having a strong T20 record, the left-hander will attract a lot of franchises. It remains to be seen how Sharjeel fares after his comeback,” Shoaib Akhtar said while discussing Sharjeel Khan’s return.
